Newbury family photographer – penwood forest

Penwood Forest, a 200-acre woodland near Newbury, Berkshire, England, is a photographer’s paradise and a great place for families who want to go for a walk, bike, and enjoy the beauty of nature.

The forest is home to a variety of landscapes, from lush green forests to sunny meadows, providing endless opportunities for capturing stunning photographs and exploring the natural world.

I recently had the pleasure of taking a family photoshoot in Penwood Forest. The family was looking for a natural setting for their photos, and Penwood Forest was the perfect choice. We started our photoshoot in a clearing in the forest, where I was able to capture the family interacting with each other and the natural world around them.

Getting There

Locating Penwood Forest couldn’t be easier. Simply input the postcode RG20 9EW for Penwood Rd, Newbury into your GPS, and you’ll be well on your way. It’s conveniently located not far from the A34, so just take the exit at junction A343 and follow the signs to Penwood Road. Once you arrive, you’ll find a small parking area, making your visit hassle-free and accessible

As a Newbury family photographer, I recently had the incredible privilege of photographing this wonderful family for the second time. What made this session even more special was the addition of a new family member, their adorable little boy, along with their beloved dog. Our photo session was a delightful stroll through a picturesque forest, bathed in the warm, golden hues of the setting sun. The natural setting provided the perfect backdrop for capturing genuine moments of joy and connection. Towards the end of our session, we found ourselves in the heart of the forest, with a towering redwood tree serving as a magnificent backdrop. The result was a collection of heartwarming, timeless photographs that beautifully encapsulated the love and unity of this charming family.
