Family photoshoot in front of Salisbury Cathedral

Salisbury Family Photographer

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope you are fine. Today on the blog I would like to share with you another outdoor family photoshoot.
A few months ago I had the pleasure of photographing Peter and his gorgeous family.  They came to England for a short holiday (the first time with their beloved daughter) and wanted to have family photos of places they liked to visit. So we headed for our local outdoor space in Salisbury and had some fun with the camera!
When it comes to photographing families in Salisbury, Wiltshire, I always head for the outdoors. The light is so much nicer than in a studio setting and there are some stunning natural backdrops I can use. As a family photographer, I want to take photos that are fun, beautiful and natural. This time we chose two locations for the sessions that are close together. It’s no more than a 10-minute walk.

Elizabeth Gardens in Salisbury

We started this photo session at Elizabeth Gardens in Salisbury, where I had the opportunity to photograph a lot of happy families. (see this gallery here). Queen Elizabeth Gardens is an urban park along the River Avon and charms with its weeping willows, water meadows, rustic bridges and pathways. This Park is a beautiful place for families to getaway.

Family photoshoot in front of Salisbury Cathedral

Salisbury is probably the most famous for its Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  (for your curiosity it has Britain’s tallest spire ( 404 feet)  and  the world’s oldest working clock.) That was our second location for a photoshoot. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much time so we only took a few shots in front of the cathedral. But the most important thing in this session was to show the relationships and love that connect this family. And we did it.
